The history of the county of Hamaland, one of the ancestors of the duchy of Gelre, is an underrepresented aspect of Dutch history. Based on historical research, Stichting Past Present produced a documentary about this region. Presenter Thomas Wijnands takes you on a journey about murder, war and subterfuge in a bloody family conflict over wealth and influence.
